Make research collaborative again.
We believe that scientific knowledge should flow freely. But the tools we use to write papers are stuck in the past. We're changing that.

Our Story
It started with a simple frustration: "Why is writing LaTeX so hard?" We were a group of grad students tired of emailing .tex files back and forth, dealing with version conflicts, and spending more time debugging errors than writing code.
In 2026, we set out to build something different — a modern, collaborative LaTeX editor that combines the power of professional typesetting with the simplicity of tools like Google Docs. The result is LetX: a platform where teams can write, edit, and compile research papers in real-time, from anywhere in the world.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is LetX?
LetX is a free online collaborative LaTeX editor — an Overleaf alternative that runs in your browser with no installation. Teams write LaTeX together in real time, compile to PDF in 1–2 seconds, and use SyncTeX to jump between source and output.
Who builds LetX?
LetX is built by Shahriar Labs, founded by Shihab Shahriar (Founder & CEO) and Ashraful Kabir Alif (Co-founder & CTO). It is a member of the NVIDIA Inception program for startups.
Why was LetX created?
LetX was created in 2026 to fix the frustration of collaborative LaTeX: emailing .tex files, version conflicts, and slow compiles. The goal is professional typesetting with the simplicity of Google Docs — real-time, in the browser, for teams.
