Yes. LetX is free forever. The free plan includes unlimited collaborators, 40 compiles per day, builds of up to 2 minutes, your last 15 versions of history, every template, and the full real-time editor. No credit card required.

Pro removes the limits: unlimited daily compiles, builds of up to 5 minutes instead of 2, full version history, priority compile queue, GitHub import/export, and a monthly Lexi AI allowance. Pro is $18/month or $180/year (two months free). Academic Pro is half that price, $9/month or $90/year, for verified students, faculty and university staff. It is its own plan rather than Pro at a discount: everything above matches Pro except the Lexi allowance, which is smaller. See the academic pricing page to apply.

Prices here are shown before tax, so depending on your country or state the total at checkout can be a little higher than the figure on this page. Your plan is active immediately and you can cancel any time from Plan and billing. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Not directly. Students, faculty and university staff pay half price on Academic Pro, verified with a current transcript or a student or staff ID. If your lab, group or class has a Team plan, its owner can give you a Pro seat at no cost to you. The Researcher & Builder Access Program is closed to new applications.

No. Unlimited collaborators are included on every plan, including Free. You are never charged per seat for inviting co-authors.

Yes, over MCP, on any paid plan. You connect letX once and the assistant can search templates, create a project, edit its files and compile it on letX’s TeX Live farm without leaving the chat. It signs in with OAuth, so the client never sees your password.

Team is $20 per seat a month, or $200 a year, for 2 to 50 people: a lab, a small group or a class. You buy the seats and give them to the people who need Pro, from your team page; you can take a seat back and give it to someone else at any time. Adding seats is charged for the rest of the period, and paying for fewer starts at the next renewal. Everyone else in the team still works on shared projects free. For more than 50 people, a department or a whole university, use Contact us for an Institution plan.

Yes. Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record for LetX, issues an invoice for every payment, with any sales tax, VAT or GST shown on it. Institution plans are set up with you on one invoice.

The free plan has no time limit, so there is nothing to trial before you start. Pro and Team can be paid month by month: try either for a month and cancel any time from Plan and billing. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires, as the refund policy explains.

No. You can sign up and use LetX free with no credit card. Pro is optional and only needed once you want unlimited compiles, full history, or AI features.
